Interest Groups
Make new friends & pursue your hobbies through one of our many interest groups.
- AFTERNOON BOOK GROUP meets at Booksmart Café in downtown Morgan Hill at 3 PM on the third Monday of each month to discuss selected books. Members enjoy reading a wide variety of authors and titles.
- ART WATCH attends quarterly lectures and discussions at South Valley museums or galleries, followed by lunch at a local restaurant.
- DINING AROUND THE WORLD meets on the fourth Friday of the month at a local restaurant to explore cuisines of the world. Singles and couples are welcome.
- EVENING BOOKS meets in a private home on the first Monday of each month to discuss books by women authors.
- FOOD, FUN AND FRIENDS gets together 3-4 times a year at members’ homes to celebrate the seasons. They enjoy good food, fun, and fellowship and share recipes.
- GEMS (Girls Engaged in Math & Science) is a club, sponsored by AAUW, for teen girls to encourage their interest in math, science, and technology through projects and field trips. Volunteers are always welcome. This is an excellent opportunity to make a difference in our community.
- HIKERS UNANIMOUS meet twice a month for hikes in local parks providing a great opportunity to experience the outdoors.
- MOVIE GROUP gets together on the fourth Tuesday of each month for an afternoon trip to a local theater and a discussion over a light super. Each month an email is sent about the month’s selection, time and place.
- OUT TO LUNCH BUNCH meets every month at a Morgan Hill restaurant. The date, place and time are sent out each month by e-mail.
- ROWDY OUTERS is a group that goes on unique outings at irregular intervals.
- THEATER GROUP attends local plays.
- TRAVEL CLUB shares travel ideas, tips, interests and enthusiasm. Everyone is welcome.
- WINE AND WHINE members enjoy a late afternoon get together for libations and conversation. They meet on the third Wednesday of the month at a local restaurant. End your busy day or begin your evening with these fun folks.
- WRITERS COFFEE KLATCH meets at Booksmart Café in downtown Morgan Hill. Writers would be or
otherwise, are welcome.
- YES, I CAN is a new interest/support group being formed for an opportunity
to have a gathering of like minded people to gain the support of those who know how to encourage. It's based on a Mind, Body and Spirit approach to growth towards a goal or wish. - NEW INTEREST GROUPS: All members are encouraged to suggest or form new special interest groups.
